Cell Phone vs. No Cell Phone?
What would make you happier? Having a cell phone and be accessible to outside world
at any moment? Or not having a cell phone and walk around careless listening to
a” different ringtone”?
Both approaches have cons and pros. In this article I quickly go over a few and
let you decide on your own what works better for you.
I need my phone.
Let’s start with option of having a phone. What advantages you have by owning a
phone? First of all you are able to get in touch with friends almost instantly.
If you have a question, you can find the answer by calling someone you know. To go further, if
you have a smart phone as
Verizon Blackberry Storm or any phone with capability to connect to the internet you can search
the web for the answer. Web is not only good for looking for answer but finding out closest restaurant,
looking up the weather, send emails. Now what is against owning a cell phone? Probably
everybody will agree, paying the bill. Currently with long term contract you are in relationship with carrier for long
time commitment. This could be annoying especially when your carrier is bad and
your calls drop without the reason. You pretty much stuck with this, unless you
want to pay the price for cancellation your contract before due time.
Do I need this phone?
Now, let’s see what it means to not have a phone. Beauty of this is people cannot
contact with you right away. This could be considering as bad thing as well, but
many people would love to have this kind of option of not being able to be track
down. So freedom is priceless and this is a major thing. Another plus is: more money in your pocket. If you don`t have a phone you don’t
have to spend on it each month.
What sucks about not having a phone is that you have to carry a change in your pocket
in order to call someone. Sometimes you have to call and when you are outside the
only option is to use pay phone. Now, good luck of find one. Another down side is, being forced to finish your tasks before leaving the house. Let’s say you need to make reservation for a dinner
yet you are in a hurry to your work. What then? Unfortunately you have to stay home
and make that phone call. But then you coming late to work and your boss right there waiting for you.
What now?
So here you go, I gave you a couple of points. Decision belongs to you, but in my
opinion I can’t live without my Verizon phone.
